I’m going to read ‘The Best of Pippi Longstocking’, an 11 chapter book which has stories from all the books above and start off reading a couple of chapters from the first book. Astrid Lindgren created these stories for her daughter Karin who asked her for a get-well soon story when she was off school :-) Karin named this fiesty little girl Pippi who is 9 years old and lives all by herself with a horse, a monkey, a suitcase full of gold and no grown ups to tell her what to do and she is stronger than anyone else you will ever know !!□□ The first book ‘Pippi Longstocking’ was published in 1945 followed by ‘Pippi goes on board’ and ‘Pippi in the South Seas. If that want enough, we have books □□□□□□□□□□□ And inevitably, the greatest stories and books are written at times of trouble, pain, heartbreak or ill health.
